Bing – Decision engine from Microsoft

Few years back Microsoft launched Live and now Microsoft team is all set to launch its new search engine Bing. Unlike Live I am sure Bing will definitely give some challenge to the autonomy of Google in the world of online search. Microsoft claims Bing is not just another search engine but it’s a decision engine. Bing is going to be the first search engine that will not only show you results for your search query but help you make decisions. Say for example you want to search for an Indian restaurant in New York you enter the search term in Bing search box and it will present you with list to available restaurant with price comparison, user reviews, map guide and reservation option on the search result page. Now that’s what sounds great to me. I am definitely looking forward to the success of the Microsoft decision engine. Interestingly the software giant is said to be spending up to 100 million $ campaign for Bing.

  1. I had no idea Bing was available, as I go to Google most of the time. I wonder how the criteria for ranking will differ from Google.

i have been using the BING search engine for a couple of weeks. it seems to be as good as Google but for some reason i would still want to stick with Google search engine.

BING search engine is just as good as Google. In my own personal experience, Google does give more releveant search result than Bing but the difference is very small. **

my default search engine is Yahoo but now i am using BING because it is much better than Yahoo. i heard that Bing search engine would power Yahoo search also.
